Precautions for taking Wufenmei: Safety Guidelines for Immunomodulatory Agents
Publisher:海鸥医学顾问     Publication Date:2026-05-08 17:08      The article comes from the Internet

As an immunomodulatory agent, the safety of Wufenmei should focus on monitoring liver and kidney function, adjusting dosage for special populations, and managing adverse reactions. The following systematically elaborates on medication precautions from six dimensions to help patients safely use the medication.

1. Basic monitoring requirements

Complete blood routine and baseline liver and kidney function tests before treatment. During the medication period, liver function should be rechecked every 3 months. If there is an increase in transaminase levels exceeding 3 times the normal value, medication should be suspended. Patients with renal insufficiency need to adjust their dosage according to creatinine clearance rate.

2. Medication for special populations

The starting dose for elderly patients (≥ 65 years old) should be halved, and it is recommended to start at 10mg/day. The safety of medication for children has not been established, and it is contraindicated during pregnancy. Breastfeeding should be stopped for lactating women if necessary.

3. Adverse reaction response

Gastrointestinal reactions (with an incidence rate of 15%) can be relieved by taking medication after meals. Patients with rash can take antihistamines in combination, but if severe skin allergies occur, the medication should be permanently discontinued. When the fever exceeds 38.5 ℃, timely medical evaluation should be sought.

4. Drug interactions

Combined use with immunosuppressants may increase the risk of infection. When combined with liver enzyme inducers (such as rifampicin), the therapeutic effect decreases and a 20% increase in dosage is required. Avoid co administration with nephrotoxic drugs such as aminoglycosides.

5. Long term medication strategy

It is recommended to use intermittent therapy (stopping for 1 week after 2 weeks of medication) if the medication continues for more than 6 months. Clinical studies have shown that this regimen can reduce the incidence of adverse reactions by 41% while maintaining clinical efficacy.

6. Patient self-management

Record body temperature, appetite, and bowel movements daily. If there is persistent vomiting, yellowing of the skin, or decreased urine output, immediate medical attention is required. It is recommended to set up a mobile medication reminder so that medication can be taken within 12 hours after missed doses.
