Osimertinib is a third-generation EGFR-TKI targeted drug mainly used for the treatment of EGFR mutation positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), including adjuvant therapy, systemic therapy for locally advanced and metastatic patients, especially for T790M resistant mutation patients.

1. Main indications

(1) Adjuvant therapy: Used for adult NSCLC patients with EGFR exon 19 deletion or exon 21 L858R mutation detected after tumor resection.

(2) Localized late stage treatment: suitable for stage III unresectable NSCLC patients who have not progressed after synchronous/sequential radiotherapy and chemotherapy (requiring EGFR mutation positivity).

(3) First line treatment for metastatic NSCLC: The preferred option for patients with EGFR sensitive mutations (19del/L858R).

(4) Post resistance treatment: Targeting metastatic NSCLC patients with T790M mutation after progression of EGFR-TKI therapy.

2. Combination therapy plan

(1) Used in combination with pemetrexed and platinum based chemotherapy as first-line treatment for EGFR mutation positive locally advanced/metastatic NSCLC.

3. Target features

(1) Specific inhibition of EGFR sensitive mutation (19del/L858R) and drug-resistant mutation (T790M), blocking the tumor cell proliferation signaling pathway.
