Nidanib Ethanesulfonate Soft Capsules (OFEV) are a multi-target tyrosine kinase inhibitor mainly used for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), systemic sclerosis associated interstitial lung disease (SSc ILD), and progressive chronic fibrotic interstitial lung disease, delaying lung function decline by inhibiting the fibrosis process.

1 Core Indications

(1) Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF): Suitable for adult patients, it can significantly slow down the annual decline rate of lung function (FVC) by up to 50%.

(2) Systemic sclerosis associated interstitial lung disease (SSc ILD): Delaying the deterioration of lung function in adult patients and reducing the risk of disease progression.

(3) Chronic fibrotic interstitial lung disease: improving disease prognosis for adult patients with progressive phenotypes.

2. Mechanism of action

(1) Multi target inhibition: Simultaneously blocking PDGFR, FGFR, and VEGFR receptor tyrosine kinases, interfering with fibrosis signaling pathways.

(2) Anti fibrotic effect: inhibits fibroblast proliferation and migration, reduces extracellular matrix deposition.

(3) Vascular regulation: By inhibiting VEGFR, pathological angiogenesis is reduced and the lung tissue microenvironment is improved.
