Esbriet is recommended to be taken with meals to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal adverse reactions. It should be administered three times a day at fixed intervals of 8 hours, with a maintenance dose of 801mg per dose.

1. Best timing for taking medication

(1) After breakfast: The first dose is recommended to be taken with meals at 7-8 am to reduce fasting stimulation.

(2) After lunch: The second dose is taken 4-5 hours apart, around 12-13 pm.

(3) After dinner: The last dose is recommended to be completed between 19-20 pm to avoid frequent nighttime awakenings.

2 dose adjustment cycles

(1) Initial stage: 267mg each time for the first 7 days, doubling the dose from the 8th day onwards.

(2) Maintenance phase: reaching 801mg/dose after the 15th day, strictly taking it on time.

3 dietary recommendations

(1) Taken with meals: can be paired with moderate amounts of fatty foods to delay absorption and alleviate dizziness symptoms.

(2) Avoid drinking alcohol: Alcohol may increase the metabolic burden on the liver and affect the stability of drug efficacy.

4. Handling of Special Situations

(1) Omission treatment: Take the medication immediately upon discovery, and skip if it is close to the next medication time.

(2) Time difference adjustment: Gradually adjust the medication time by 1-2 hours each time until adapted.
