Olmetec, as a long-acting antihypertensive drug, has significant therapeutic effects and good safety. However, caution should be exercised when discontinuing the medication to avoid blood pressure rebound. Olmetec exerts its antihypertensive effect by selectively blocking angiotensin II receptors, and its efficacy needs to be evaluated based on individual patient conditions. 1. Effect of action

(1) Pharmacological mechanism: Specific antagonism of AT1 receptor, inhibition of vascular constriction and aldosterone secretion, and sustained antihypertensive effect for more than 24 hours.

(2) Effective time: The peak blood pressure is reached 1-2 hours after oral administration, and the steady-state antihypertensive effect is achieved within 2 weeks. The most significant therapeutic effect is observed between 4-8 weeks.
