1. Conventional usage and dosage

(1) Initial dose: Adults typically start with a dose of 20mg once daily, which can achieve maximum blood pressure lowering effect within 2 weeks.

(2) Dosage adjustment: Depending on blood pressure control, it can be increased to 40mg/day, taken in single or divided doses, with a maximum dose not exceeding 40mg/day.

(3) Medication time: It is recommended to take it at the same time every day, both before and after meals, but the administration method should be consistent.

2. Dose adjustment for special populations

(1) Liver dysfunction

The initial dose for Child Pugh B patients is halved (10mg/day), while it is contraindicated for Child Pugh C patients.

(2) Renal insufficiency

When the creatinine clearance rate is less than 20mL/min, the initial dose is 10mg/day. Patients with end-stage renal disease need to closely monitor blood pressure and renal function.

(3) Elderly patients

Patients aged 65 and above do not require routine dose adjustments, but for frail elderly patients, it is recommended to gradually increase the dosage from 10mg/day.

3. Precautions for medication for special populations

(1) Pregnancy period: Use in the middle and late stages of pregnancy can cause fetal damage or even death. If pregnancy is detected, the medication should be stopped immediately.

(2) Breastfeeding period: Rat studies have shown that drugs are secreted into breast milk, but human data is insufficient. It is recommended to stop breastfeeding during the medication period.

(3) Children: The safety and efficacy of using it for patients under 18 years old have not been established and is not recommended.
