Triumeq is a fixed dose combination antiretroviral drug consisting of the integrase chain transfer inhibitor (INSTI) dolutegravir and two nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs) abacavir and lamivudine.

2、 Indications

1. HIV-1 infection: suitable for treating adult HIV-1 infection.

2. Restricted use: Not recommended for patients with a history of resistance to Abacavir, Doitavir, or Lamivudine, or suspected resistance to integrase chain transfer inhibitors (INSTI).

3、 Specifications and characteristics

1. Specifications: Each tablet contains 600mg of Abacavir, 50mg of Doxorubivir, and 300mg of Lamivudine.

2. Appearance: A purple oval thin film garment with the "572Tr ı" logo engraved on one side.

4、 Usage and dosage

1. Recommended dosage: 1 tablet per day for adults, taken orally.

2. Dosage: Can be taken with food or on an empty stomach.

3. Omission treatment: If missed, it should be replenished as soon as possible; If it is close to the next medication time (within 4 hours), skip the missed dose and take the medication according to the original plan.

4. Special dose adjustment: When used in combination with efavirenz, fosinavir/ritonavir, telmisavir/ritonavir, or rifampicin, an additional 50mg of doxunavir should be added (with a 12 hour interval).

5、 Dose adjustment

1. Renal insufficiency: It is not recommended for patients with creatinine clearance rate (CrCl)<50mL/min.

2. Liver dysfunction: Mild liver dysfunction (Child Pugh A grade) does not require dose adjustment; Moderate to severe (Child Pugh B/C grade) is prohibited.

6、 Medication precautions

1. Allergic reactions: Abacavir may cause severe allergic reactions, and individuals carrying the HLA-B * 5701 allele are at higher risk. Genetic screening is required before medication.

2. Dietary impact: Can be taken with food, but avoid taking with antacids containing aluminum/magnesium (with a 2-hour interval).

3. Vomiting treatment: If vomiting occurs after taking medication, there is no need to take additional medication. Follow the original plan for the next dose.

4. Drug packaging: To avoid swallowing aluminum foil packaging by mistake, take out the pills and take them.

7、 Medication for special populations

1. Pregnant women: Use only when potential benefits outweigh risks (pregnancy grade C).

2. Breastfeeding period: Breastfeeding is prohibited.

3. Children: Safety has not been established.

4. Elderly people: The dosage should be adjusted according to kidney function.

8、 Adverse reactions

1. Common (≥ 2%): Insomnia (3%), headache (2%), fatigue (2%).

2. Serious reactions: allergic reactions, lactic acidosis, worsening of hepatitis, myocardial infarction (rare).

9、 Contraindications

1. HLA-B * 5701 allele positive or history of abacavir allergy.

2. Combined use of Doxostat (TIKOSYN) ®)。

3. Moderate to severe liver dysfunction.

10、 Drug interactions

1. Taboo combination: Doxetine (risk of arrhythmia).

2. Dosage adjustment required: When used in combination with rifampicin and efavirenz, an increase in the dose of Doitavir is needed.

3. Impact on absorption: Aluminum/magnesium antacids and iron/calcium supplements should be taken every 2 hours.

11、 Storage method
