The indications for Voranigo are clear, mainly targeting patients with grade 2 astrocytomas or oligodendrogliomas who have undergone surgery, including biopsy, partial or complete resection, and who have susceptible IDH1 or IDH2 mutations.

1. Patients with severe liver dysfunction

Contraindications: Voranigo should not be used in patients with severe liver dysfunction (Child Pugh C grade).

Reason: Drugs are mainly metabolized by the liver, and severe liver dysfunction will significantly increase blood drug concentrations, increase the risk of liver toxicity and other serious adverse reactions.

Screening requirements: Before and during treatment, doctors must regularly test liver function indicators (such as ALT, AST, bilirubin) to assess their suitability.

2. Patients with severe renal insufficiency

Taboo use: It is not recommended for patients with severe renal impairment and estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) below 30mL/min/1.73m ².

Reason: Drugs and their metabolites may be excreted through the kidneys, and severe decline in kidney function can lead to accumulation poisoning.

Monitoring requirements: Regular re examination of renal function is required before and during medication. If eGFR continues to deteriorate, the doctor will consider discontinuing the medication or adjusting the plan.

3. Pregnant women

Absolute contraindication: Voranigo should not be used during pregnancy.

Risk statement: Animal studies have shown embryonic fetal toxicity, which may cause fetal injury or miscarriage.

Contraceptive requirements:

Women with fertility must use effective contraceptive measures during treatment and for at least 2 months after discontinuing medication.

Male patients (with partners of childbearing age) should use condoms during treatment and for at least 3 months after discontinuing medication.

Pregnancy testing: A serum pregnancy test must be conducted 7 days before starting treatment, and medication can only be administered after confirming a negative result.

4. Other important precautions

Breastfeeding period: It is not recommended to breastfeed during the treatment period (at least 2 weeks after discontinuing the medication).

Fertility: This product may affect the fertility of both men and women. Those planning to conceive should discuss the possibility of preserving reproductive cells with their doctor in advance.

Obligation to inform: If you become pregnant or suspect pregnancy during medication, you must immediately contact the attending physician. All contraindication judgments are based on the doctor's assessment and cannot be used at one's own discretion.
