Rulugoli reduces the secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) by blocking the GnRH receptor in the anterior pituitary gland, thereby lowering estrogen levels in the body.

1、 Absolute taboo group

Severe renal impairment: Patients with creatinine clearance rate (CrCl)<15mL/min or undergoing dialysis are prohibited from using this product.

Moderate or above liver function impairment: Children Pugh B or C grade patients are contraindicated due to impaired drug metabolism.

Previous history of severe allergies: Individuals with severe allergic reactions to Relugole or any of its excipients should not use it.

2、 Combination use of potent P-gp inducers to avoid

Representative drugs: rifampicin, sodium phenytoin, carbamazepine, St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum), etc.

Joint use risk: The above drugs can significantly reduce the activity of P-gp transporter protein, decrease the absorption of rilugole, lead to insufficient blood drug concentration, and may cause treatment failure or disease progression.

Discontinuation and washout period: If the patient is currently taking the above-mentioned medication, they must stop taking the inducer for at least 14 days before starting to take Relugole.

3、 Other situations that require caution in medication use

Combined use with P-gp substrates (digoxin, dabigatran, etc.): may increase the blood drug concentration of these drugs, and relevant toxic reactions need to be monitored and the dosage adjusted.

Cross allergy to drugs of the same class as gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonists: use with caution in individuals with a history of related drug allergies.

Women and children of childbearing age: This product is only used for male prostate cancer patients. The safety of women (especially those preparing for pregnancy and breastfeeding) and children and adolescents under 18 years old is unclear and not recommended for use.
